By Car
Higway
Recommended exit: La Spezia (from here follow directions to La Spezia on the A15 CISA). Entered in La Spezia follow directions to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre). Crossed La Spezia continue on the SS 370 for the Cinque Terre. Crossed the Biassa tunnel, you enter in the Cinque Terre; after the junction for Riomaggiore continue another 5 km on the SS 370 to reach Manarola.
it's possible enter by car in Manarola from 6 a.m. till 10 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to leave your suitcases. Then you have to leave your car in the parking which is 500 meters from the center , or in the free parking a little bit more distant
In summer when there are many tourists, it's better you leave your car in La Spezia (into the station's underground parking) and continue to Manarola by train.
By Train
It is the ideal means of transport to go to Manarola and to move in the Cinque Terre. The runs are very frequent especially during the summer and local trains stop in all the stations of Cinque Terre: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. There is a train every 30 minutes (5 terre Express), which allows to reach Manarola in 10 minutes. Manarola is the second village of Cinque Terre starting from La Spezia.The terminus is in La Spezia, on the Pisa-Genova railway line, where all the long-distance trains stop.
By Ferry Boat
In spring-summer there are daily connections by ferry from La Spezia, Lerici, and Porto Venere. Monterosso, Vernazza, Manarola and Riomaggiore are also connected during the day by inner navigation lines, with terminus Monterosso
